Staying in The Hotel Del Coronado
The view from the Hotel Del Coronado is breath taking. One looks out over the San Diego bay area. The climate is almost always perfect. Staying at the hotel, one will enjoy mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the middle seventies.
The harbor area is home to the US Navy and one can see all of the ships moored in the harbor. There is also a very large Navy Base close by for those who may be retirees. Also located close by to the Hotel Del Coronado is the world famous San Diego Zoo. It is a beautiful place to spend a couple of days.
There are some challenging golf courses located very close to the hotel, and a wide variety of restaurants to suit all tastes, including some that are considered world class establishments. The San Diego area has some fine neighbourhoods with beautiful but expensive homes.
The Hotel Del Coronado offers a shuttle straight from San Diego airport, or, if you prefer, you can rent a car and follow the signs for the Coronado bridge to get to the hotel yourself.
The bridge is very big and tall and affords the passengers a beautiful look at the whole area. Once over the half way point of the bridge, look for the signs leading to the Hotel Del Coronado.
The Grounds of the Hotel Coronado
Once someone arrives at the hotel they will be treated like royalty. Something to note however is that reservations are highly recommended. It is a wonderful place to stay and not having reservations can ruin the trip.
Always call ahead of time in order to get the best rooms with the best views. The hotel is not cheap. Prepare to spend some money if one wants to stay at the Hotel Del Coronado. For some people, there may not be a reason to leave the hotel.
The Hotel Del Coronado offers excellent food service, and employs some of the best chefs in the world. Between the food, the amenities, and the wonderful views, the Hotel Del Coronado has it all. If you desire a truly luxurious experience, then the Hotel Del Coronado is the best place to stay in San Diego.

The hotel Del Coronado indeed sounds like a premium hotel. If I ever get an excuse to visit San Diego I'll give it a look. What kind of price range can you expect for a room here though? I know some of the higher class hotels offer rooms on priceline at a discount. I wonder if I could find a room here under such an offer. I bet even the smaller rooms in the hotel are very nice.
