The star ratings often run similar to price bands, and you would expect a very low cost hotel to have a low star rating. If a hotel is relatively inexpensive compared to most other hotels in the area, then you can expect that it will have less facilities than the other hotels. That said, you can still expect polite staff and a clean room no matter what you pay, so if someone is complaining in a review, take note of exactly what their issues with the hotel were.

Make sure to be objective, as those reading your review are depending on your honesty when they make choices about where to stay on their holiday.
