Unusual Hotels of The World
The site was started by two friends, Simon and Steve, who wanted to help others enjoy the kinds of strange and interesting hotels that they have had the privilege of staying in during the course of their personal and business related travels.
How would you like to stay in a fairy-tale castle? Or an underwater hotel with glass windows that let you watch the fish swim by? Perhaps a tree house? Or maybe even a stay in the worlds largest wooden model beagle, which has had its interior converted into hotel rooms?
Even if you can't afford a holiday at the moment, this site is worth a browse just to see what crazy things people can come up with, and, because the site gives you plenty of information, you may end up pleasantly surprised at the cost of the hotels and end up booking anyway. Some of these quirky and unusual hotel rooms cost less than $100 per night.
Each hotel page includes a photo gallery showing a number of clear, candid photographs of the rooms (meaning they haven't tweaked the pictures to make it look like the 'sewage pipe hotel' offers you a spacious room), along with a listing of facilities, the location of the closest airport, and a detailed description of the hotel along with an overview of the history and any interesting and relevant facts.
You can search by keyword, theme, location, price, or 'wow rating', so if you have something special in mind (perhaps a themed honeymoon?) then this site will help you find a suitable hotel.
The site is nicely designed, although the font is a little small in places. There is a mailing list to keep you up to date with any new hotels that are added, and a number of useful links to help you further with your trip planning.

Having read this article and seeing that someone thinks that it is important to visit only one site to get good deals and information. I would have to say that you really need to make sure you watch out just because something looks good it does not mean that it is really going to be something you can use or will like. There are many sites available that offer the same information and finding one that offers what you are really looking for is what each person who is traveling needs to do.

The article does not suggest or recommend that travelers visit only one site to get good deals and information. It is simply a review of a site that offers guests a chance o stay at unique and unusual hotels. As such we wanted to share this site which we discovered with our readers, who may be looking to experience something quaint and extraordinary. For instance, there are not many sites that offer guests an underwater hotel room.
We are always on the look-out for interesting travel sights and travel information to share with our readers, and we appreciate your feedback and comments.
