Enjoy The Grandeur of The Grand Oaks Manor Bed and Breakfast in Athens, Georgia
This Georgia bed and breakfast was originally built in 1820 and served as a stagecoach stop which can still be seen in its large, flat stones at the head of the verandah. After many complete renovations, it was purchased by two owners in 2000, and completely redecorated, upgraded as well as refashioned and now, magnificent furnishings complement the 1820 grand manor.
Carefully Preserved History
This Georgia bed and breakfast is like a time capsule – carefully preserving the historical heritage of the area. There are Federal mirrors, cherry and mahogany furniture, and wide open areas of land containing large amounts of local wildlife. The 34 acres of land surrounding the bed and breakfast is home to numerous deer, for example.
The service is excellent and guests may partake in full and healthy breakfasts elegantly served on fine china as well as cut glass crystal. The menu includes fresh fruits, breads, yogurt as well as gourmet hot entrees. This is a Georgia bed and breakfast that allows guests to enjoy a romantic interlude as well as is well suited for anniversaries, wedding nights as well as other exciting events.
The Georgia area has a lot of worthwhile places to visit – including Savannah, Atlanta, Dahlonega, and Tybee Island. There are lots of bed and breakfasts in Georgia, which will allow you to base yourself close to these areas. Tybee Island is ideal as a place for families to visit, and you can find a bed and breakfast that is close to both Tybee Island and Savannah. Dahlonega places you in the Blue Ridge Mountains area and close to the Historic district as well as the Chattahoochee National Forest. No matter where you decide to go, just remember that a Georgia bed and breakfast will give you relaxation, luxury, and a friendly place to stay.

Do you have any photographs of this place? As someone very interested in history and architecture, I would love to see it. Is ALL of that land a part of the manor? If guests can explore all 34 acres that would be wonderful. You could hike and wild-life spot without ever techically leaving your b&b. It's unlikely I'll ever get to go there, but I hope one day I do.
