Pet Friendly Cabin Rentals:Take Your Whole Family

To many families, a dog is more than just a pet, it is a member of the family.  In such cases, it is natural that you would want to take them along with you on your vacation.  This is possible if you can find a pet friendly cabin to rent.

Finding Pet Friendly Cabin Rentals

Pet friendly cabin rentals are getting increasingly easy to find now that more people are attempting to take their pets with them on holiday.  Pet friendly accommodation is a growing market and something that many cabin owners are hoping to take advantage of.

Because there are so many pet friendly cabin rentals available, it might be a bit daunting to find the right one. Say, for example, that you would like to get a pet friendly cabin rental that is in the northern part of the United States, there are a variety of questions you should be asking yourself while planning.

One of the most important things to consider is how much you are willing to spend.  Make a list of what you are looking for in your ideal cabin, and try to find the best match between budget and wish list.  Don't forget to look for places that are a little outside of your budget – you may be able to get a discount if you are staying for several weeks, or you may be able to save money on your travel expenses that could go towards getting a better cabin.

If this is your first vacation with your pet, you may find that they are a little nervous when you arrive at the cabin.  It can help if you bring some toys and perhaps a familiar cushion with you – something that will give them a sense of security.

Vacationing with your pet takes away the worry of leaving them at home or in a pound with strangers.  Your dog will enjoy the chance to explore a new area, and hopefully you will too.

There is lots of information on pet friendly cabin rentals available online.  Check pet web sites for tips on how to prepare your pet for the journey, and don't be shy about asking for comments about specific cabins from your fellow pet owners.

Does anyone know of any coach operators or airlines that let you take pets on board?  Pet friendly hotels must be a boon to people who have a car, but as a non-driver, I can't take my pets with me to many places.  Some rail companies are OK about pets, but if I can't get a train conveniently to where I'm heading then I have to leave my dog at home. I've found some coaches are fine with lap dogs, but anything bigger and they say no :(

One day I shall pluck up the courage to take my 5 Great Danes with us on holiday, I think we would have to rent a large cabin for the dogs and a small dog house for us and a private train just for us to fit us all in!
