Ah Yes Paris, its one of the few truly romantic cities left in Europe I feel, if the opportunity arises and you can get away there for a short break with your partner you must do so, to wander along the banks of the Seine looking at the street artists work, gazing across to the Notre Dame while the trees are hung heavy with blossom, perhaps stopping for a croissant and coffee to watch the world go by. A remarkable place that every couple should visit at least once

Paris isn't somewhere I'm desperate to go to, but if I ever end up there I'll give this a look.  I've stayed in a lot of hotels when I have been travelling for work, and it is rare that the luxury really feels luxurious.  Champagne on arrival and free spa treatments sounds ideal - like one of the few hotels left that really knows what little touches make the stay. I like the sound of nice rates too - especially since these days I have to pay for my own travel!
